To date, on November 3rd , in Romania, 258.437 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
181.175 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 7.733 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

Until today 7.273 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 02.11.2020 (10:00) – 03.11.2020 (10:00) 120 deaths (70 men and 50 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30-39 years , 3 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 7 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 34 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 38 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 37 deaths in the over 80 years category.
114 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not presented comorbidities and for 2 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.
In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 11.897. Of these, 974 are hospitalized at ATI.
To date, 3.305.309 tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 30.336 were performed in the last 24 hours, 17.698 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 12.638 upon request.
Also, since the last SGC Information, have been reported the results of 103 tests processed before the last 24 hours and submitted until November 3 rd.
In Romania, 31.674 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 11.289 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 58.021 people are in quarantine at home, and 18 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours 3.861 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1.377 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 6.229 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 831.880 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, were found, yesterday, 4 crimes to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,853 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 159 in the United Kingdom , 36 in Hungary, 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
