Until today, on May 19th, in Romania, 17,191 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 10,166 were declared cured and discharged.

At the same time, so far, 1126 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galați, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Călărași, Maramure and Maramure they died.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 155 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 195 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 11,808 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 24,415 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
Until today, 322,074 tests have been processed at national level.
In the last 24 hours, 463 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1,869 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, according to information obtained by Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, 2,923 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,698 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 30 in France, 487 in Germany, 87 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 103 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 34 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 5 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 22 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 9 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
We remind citizens to consider only the information verified by official sources and to call for recommendations and other information on the line TELVERDE – 0800.800.358. The TELVERDE number is not an emergency number, it is a telephone line strictly assigned to inform citizens. Also, Romanians abroad can request information about preventing and combating the virus at the line specially dedicated to them, +4021.320.20.20.
Other decisions, as well as other data of interest, will be made public as soon as possible.
