Until today, on June 18th, in Romania, 23.080 cases of people infected with the COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 16.308 were declared cured and discharged.

Until today, 1.473 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 17.06.2020 (10:00) – 18.06.2020 (10:00) were registered 22 deaths (12 men and 10 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Mureș, Olt, Suceava, Vrancea and București.
Among these, 2 deaths was recorded in the age category 30-39, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 4 death in the age category 50-59 years, 8 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 5 deaths in the age category 70-79 years, 2 deaths in people over 80 years.
All deaths are from patients who have experienced comorbidities.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 320 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 178 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 1.429 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 86.167 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
Until today, 597.696 tests have been processed at the national level.
In the last 24 hours, 486 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112, and 2.160 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 141 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 191.750 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 crimes were found yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
At the same time, on June 17th a.c., 120 persons who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or the measure of institutionalized quarantine.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 3.531 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 817 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom , 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates United, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 115 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, they died.
29 of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
