Until today, on June 25th, in Romania, 25,286 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 17,906 were declared cured and discharged.

Until today, 1,565 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 24.06.2020 (10:00) – 25.06.2020 (10:00) were registered 10 deaths (7 men and 3 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Bacău, Botoșani, Brașov, Constanța, Ialomița, Iași, Bucharest and Sibiu.

Among these, 1 deaths were recorded in the age group 50-59 years, 3 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 3 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 3 deaths in a person over 80 years.

All deaths are from patients who have experienced comorbidities.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 460 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 199 patients are hospitalized at ATI.

On the Romanian territory, there are 1,149 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 72,658 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.

Until today, 663,558 tests have been processed at national level.

In the last 24 hours, 463 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1,040 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 393 of contravention sanctions, amounting to 140,175 delays.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, were found, yesterday, 5 crimes to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

At the same time, on June 24 a.c., 75 persons who did not comply with the measure of isolation at home or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or the measure of institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 4,601 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 1883 in Germany, 97 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia , Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 115 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, they died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 72 were declared cured: 50 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Note: these data are obtained by the Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, either from the competent authorities of the states of residence, insofar as these data are subject to public communication, or directly from Romanian citizens abroad.

Until of 24 June 2020, 1,524,111 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
