Until today, on July the 4th, in Romania, 28.582 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 20.861 were discharged, of which 19.854 patients were cured and 1.007 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

At the same time, so far, 1.731 people diagnosed with COVID-19 died.
Between 03.07.2020 (10:00) – 04.07.2020 (10:00) were registered 23 deaths (12 men and 11 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Argeș, Bacău, Botoșani, Buzău, Dâmbovița, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Mehedinți, București, Suceava și Vrancea.
Among these, 2 death was recorded in the age group 50-59, 6 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 10 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 5 deaths of persons over 80 years old.
All deaths occurred in patients with preexistent comorbidities.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 416 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 223 patients are hospitalized at intensive care units.
Until today, 759.037 tests have been processed at national level.
In the last 24 hours, 434 calls were registered at 112 emergency number and 1.969 at TELVERDE line (0800 800 358) – dedicated line for citizens informing.
The police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 533 sanctions, amounting to 124.900 lei, for minor offenses regarding the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 1 crime was found yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
Following the verification actions carried out last night, in an integrated system, by structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Transport, another 962 sanctions were applied for non-compliance with health protection and social distance.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 4.995 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19: 1.885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 2.275 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic, 115 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, died.
Among the Romanian citizens who are confirmed with the new coronavirus, 72 have been declared healed: 50 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
