Until today, on September 10th, in Romania, 99,684 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

41,010 patients were declared cured and 12,568 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection (* figures for cured and asymptomatic discharged patients are being updated as a result of technical changes to the data centralization application).

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1,380 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. Distribution by counties of the cases for the total and of the new ones or those found in the table below:

To date, 4,065 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 09.09.2020 (10:00) – 10.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 47 deaths (25 men and 22 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău , Bihor, Bistrița – Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Constanța, Covasna, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinți, Neamț, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 6 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 15 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 15 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 9 deaths in the over 80 years category.

45 of the recorded deaths were of patients who presented with comorbidities, and 2 deceased patients did not present with comorbidities.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,133. Of these, 459 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 2,015,772 tests have been processed at the national level. Of these, 25,185 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14,940 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 10,245 on request.

In Romania, 10,370 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 5,940 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 35,488 people are in quarantine at home, and 12 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,016 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 592 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 724 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 125,790 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, a crime was found yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,599 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain , 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

As of 9 September 2020, 2,443,938 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
