Until today, on September 11th , in Romania, 101.075 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed.

* Data on patients declared cured and asymptomatic patients discharged 10 days after detection are not available at this time due to technical changes to the data centralization application. These figures will be communicated immediately after they become available.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1.391  new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below:

At the same time, so far, 4.100 people diagnosed with COVID-19 died.

Between 10.09.2020 (10:00) – 11.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 35 deaths (25 men and 10 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui and  Bucharest.

Among these, 4 deaths was recorded in the age group 50-59 years,  6 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 12 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 13 deaths in the age category over 80 years.

In 34 cases death occurred in patients who had comorbidities and in one case there were no comorbidities registered.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.125. Of these, 478 patients are hospitalized at intensive care units.

Until today, 2.041.921 tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 26.149 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14.415 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 11.734 on request.

In Romania, 10.772 people confirmed with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 5.754 people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 33.129  people are quarantined at home, and 12 persons are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1.051 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 508 to TELVERDE (0800 800 358).

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 651 sanctions, amounting 172.100 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 crimes were found yesterday, regarding the  thwart the fight against diseases, for crimes provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a special telephone line TELVERDE (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6.599 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2.935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in Ukraine,  and one each in Argentina, Tunisia , Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Congo Republic Hungary and Qatar. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad died: 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in Congo Republic and one in Greece.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Note: these data are obtained by the Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, either from the competent authorities of the states of residence, insofar as these data are subject to public communication, or directly from Romanian citizens abroad.

The TELVERDE number is not an emergency number, it is a telephone line strictly allocated for informing citizens and is valid for national calls from Monday to Friday, between 08.00 and 20.00. Also, Romanians abroad can request information about preventing and combating the virus at the line specially dedicated to them, +4021.320.20.20.

Until 10th of September, 2 475 990 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
