Until today, on September 15th , in Romania, 105.298 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed.

Data on persons declared cured will be transmitted as soon as possible. This type of data is not available at this time due to technical changes made to the data centralization application.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1.111 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below:

At the same time, so far, 4.236 people diagnosed with COVID-19 died.

Between 14.09.2020 (10:00) – 15.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 51  deaths (28 men and 23 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bihor, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Suceava, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui and  Bucharest.

Among these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 30-39 years,  1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 6 deaths in the age category 50-59, 15 deaths in the age category 60-69, 14 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 14 deaths in the age category over 80 years.

In 49 cases death occurred in patients who had comorbidities and in one case there were no comorbidities registered, in one case there were no comorbidities reported.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 6.881. Of these, 460 patients are hospitalized at intensive care units.

Until today, 2.110.024 tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 21.049  were performed in the last 24 hours, 12.767 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 8.327 on request.

In Romania, 10.879 people confirmed with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 5.748 people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 37.014 people are quarantined at home, and 5 persons are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1032 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 691 were registerd on TelVerde.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 404 sanctions, amounting 54.450 lei.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a special telephone line TELVERDE (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6.599 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2.935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in Ukraine,  and one each in Argentina, Tunisia , Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Congo Republic Hungary and Qatar. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad died: 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in Congo Republic and one in Greece.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Until 14th of September, 2.594.115 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
