To date, on 7th of November, in Romania, 296.999 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

201.114 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 9.937 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

The coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the level of Bucharest Municipality and counties is the following:

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 1424 people were reconfirmed positively. The distribution by county of these cases can be found in the table below:

Until today 7.793 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 06.11.2020 (10:00) – 07.11.2020 (10:00),  130 deaths (86 men and 44 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 4 deaths was recorded in the age category 40-49 years, 11 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 39 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 31 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 42 deaths in the over 80 years category.

122 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 2 deceased pacients had no comorbidities  and for 5 deceased no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12.113. Of these, 1.048  are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units.

To date, 3.455.093 tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 36.202 were performed in the last 24 hours, 20.612 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 15.590 upon request.

In Romania, 39.505 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 24.181  people are in institutional isolation. Also, 69.846 people are in quarantine at home, and 19 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

Also, since the last SCG Information, have been reported the results of 646 tests processed before the last 24 hours and submitted until 7th of November.

In the last 24 hours 4472 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 882 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 8145 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 1.177.275 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, were found, yesterday, 6 crimes to thwart the fight against diseases, crime provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,862 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom , 36 in Hungary, 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

As of 6th  of November  2020, 8.261.087 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany.
