A new border crossing point, on the border with Serbia

Today, December 20th, the Border Crossing Point of Moldova Nouă – Golubac will be operationalized.

Thus, the waiting time at the border will be shortened, as the new point will take over from the flow of people who have so far crossed the border between the two states, through the 13 existing points.

For the proper functioning and efficiency of the control activities for the Moldova Noua Border Crossing Point, through order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ion Marcel VELA, 37 border guards were assigned to Moldova Noua, in order to carry out the transit security mission to Serbia.

The opening of this crossing point falls within the scope of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two states, within the process of implementing a Romania-Serbia cross-border cooperation project, implemented by BRCT Timisoara, in coordination with ADR West, according to the provisions of the Community legislation in the field.
