Until today, on July the 12th, in Romania, 32.535 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 23.387 were discharged, of which 21.545 patients were cured and 1.842 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.
Also, another 532 patients confirmed positive were discharged on request.

At the same time, so far, 1.884 people diagnosed with COVID-19 died.
Between 11.07.2020 (10:00) – 12.07.2020 (10:00) were registered 13 deaths (10 men and 3 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Argeș, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Călărași, Ialomița, Prahova, Suceava, Vaslui and Vrancea.
Among these, 1 death in the age category 30-39 years, 3 death in the age category 50-59 years, 5 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 3 deaths in the age category 70-79 and one death of a person over 80 years old.
All deaths occurred in patients with preexistent comorbidities.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 456 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 243 patients are hospitalized at intensive care units.
Until today, 847.586 tests have been processed at national level.
In the last 24 hours, 322 calls were registered at 112 emergency number.
The police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 1.475 sanctions, amounting to 226.800 lei, for minor offenses regarding the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 5.104 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19: 1.885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 2.275 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 105 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 2 in Greece and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic, 122 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, died.
Among the Romanian citizens who are confirmed with the new coronavirus, 157 have been declared healed: 135 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
