Until today, on July the 22nd, in Romania, 40.163 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed.
24.663 patients were cured and 2.693 asymptomatic patients were discharged at 10 days after detection.
Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1,030 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. At the same time, so far, 2.101 people diagnosed with COVID-19 died.
Between 21.07.2020 (10:00) – 22.07.2020 (10:00), were registered 27 deaths (19 men and 8 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Constanța, Galați, Gorj, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, București and Ilfov.
Among these, 2 deaths in the age category 30-39, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 3 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 6 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 9 deaths in the age category 70-79, and 6 deaths, persons over 80 years old.
In 26 cases, deaths occurred in patients with preexistent comorbidities. One patient who died did not presented comorbidities.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 994 new cases of illness have been registered.
In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 5,179. Of these, 293 patients are hospitalized at intensive care units.
Until today, 1.009.273 tests have been processed at national level.
In Romania, 336 people confirmed with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 213 people are in institutional isolation.
We specify that the number of people in isolation / quarantine is dynamic and the data are being centralized and introduced in computer applications, at the level of competent structures.
In the last 24 hours, 721 calls were registered at 112 emergency number and 1.1736 at TELVERDE 0800 800 358, a telephone line strictly assigned to inform.
The police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 808 sanctions, amounting to 111.875 lei, for minor offenses regarding the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a special telephone line TELVERDE (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 5.262 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19: 1.885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 117 in France, 2.349 in Germany, 157 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 15 in Greece, 2 in Cyprus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic, 122 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, died.
Among the Romanian citizens who are confirmed with the new coronavirus, 158 have been declared healed: 135 in Germany, 11 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
