Until today, on July the 26th, in Romania, 44.798 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed.
25.643 patients were cured and 3.572 asymptomatic patients were discharged at 10 days after detection.
Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1.120 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. At the same time, so far, 2.187 people diagnosed with COVID-19 died.
Between 25.07.2020 (10:00) – 26.07.2020 (10:00), were registered 22 deaths (17 men and 5 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bihor, Brăila, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Gorj, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vrancea și București.
Among these, 2 death in the age category 40-49, 3 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 6 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 8 deaths in the age category 70-79 and 1 death, persons over 80 years old.
At 20 cases, deaths occurred in patients with preexisting comorbidity.
In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 6,662. Of these, 351 patients are hospitalized at intensive care units.
Until today, 1.102.901 tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 15.098 were performed in the last 24 hours, 8.679 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 6.419 on request. Also, since the last information made by SCG, the results of 20 tests processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until July 26th have also been reported.
In Romania, 2.062 people confirmed with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 3.665 people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 11.011 people are quarantined at home, and 27 persons are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 746 calls were registered at 112 emergency number.
The police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 2.388 sanctions, amounting to 506.460 lei, for minor offenses regarding the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, the specialized structures of Romanian Police found 1 crime yesterday of thwarting the fight against diseases, a crime provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a special telephone line TELVERDE (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 5.329 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19: 1.891 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 124 in France, 2.363 in Germany, 157 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 16 in Greece, 2 in Cyprus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic, 122 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, died.
Among the Romanian citizens who are confirmed with the new coronavirus, 165 have been declared healed: 135 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
