Until today, on June 19th, in Romania, 23,400 cases of people infected with the COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Among the people confirmed positive, 16,555 were declared cured and discharged.

Until today, 1,484 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 18.06.2020 (10:00) – 19.06.2020 (10:00) were registered 11 deaths (6 men and 5 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Dâmbovița Dolj, Iași, Bucharest, Sălaj, Sibiu and Vrancea.
Among these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age group 50-59 years old, 1 death in the age category 60-69 years old, 4 deaths in the age category 70-79 years old, and 3 deaths in people over 80 years old.
10 of the deaths were of patients who had comorbidities. No comorbiditiy was reported for 1 death.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 320 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 184 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 1,392 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 82,236 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
Until today, 608,771 tests have been processed at the national level.
In the last 24 hours, 494 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1,606 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 108 contravention sanctions, amounting to 98,700 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 3 crimes were found yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
At the same time, on June 18th this year, 75 persons who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or the measure of institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 3,531 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 817 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom , 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 115 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, they died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 29 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
