Until today, June 9th, in Romania, 20,749 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 14,910 were declared cured and discharged.

At the same time, so far, 1345 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galați, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Călărași, Maramure Harghita, Tulcea and Buzau died.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 145 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 152 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 2,120 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 96,398 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
Until this date, 511,295 tests have been processed at national level.
In the last 24 hours, 361 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 924 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 120 contravention sanctions, amounting to 141,500 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, were found, yesterday, 2 crimes to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
At the same time, on June 8 a.c., 70 persons who did not comply with the measure of isolation at home or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or the measure of institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 3,304 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 84 in France, 617 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom , 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates United, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 114 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 6 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, they died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 28 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 9 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
