To date, on March 6th , in Romania, 824.995  cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

754.335 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 4.064  new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the “new cases not allocated by counties”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes brought to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the testing centers directly introduce the results of the tests performed, and the epidemiological investigation will be performed at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases will be assigned to the county / locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the level of Bucharest Municipality and counties. Below you have the graph based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

 

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive,762 people were reconfirmed positively. The distribution by county of these cases can be found in the table below.

To date, 20.854 people diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 infection have died.

Between 05.03.2021 (10:00) – 06.03.2021 (10:00) were reported 69 deaths (33 men and 36 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Brăila, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Ialomița, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Suceava, Timiș and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death were recorded in the age category 10-19 years, 3 deaths in the age group 40-49 years, 4 deaths in the age group 50-59 years, 14 deaths in the age group 60-69 years, 21 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 26 deaths in the category over 80 years.

66 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities and for 3 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 9.306. Of these, 1.070 are hospitalized at Intensive Care Units.

To date, 6.158.995  RT-PCR tests and 351.100 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 25.191 RT-PCR tests were performed (14.555  based on the case definition and medical protocol and 10.636  on request) and 8.604 rapid antigen tests.

Also, since the last information made by SCG, have been reported the results of 250 tests processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until March 6th.

On the Romanian territory, 46.419  people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 13.643 people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 50.156  people are in quarantine at home, and in institutionalized quarantine there are 117 people.

In the last 24 hours, 3.621 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 612 calls were registered to TELVERDE.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 5th  , 5.112  sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 968.725 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, one criminal file was drawn up yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 23.477 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,539 in Italy, 16,773 in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,116 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 7 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 43 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in Emirates United Arab Emirates, 13 in the Republic of Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 2 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia, 7 în Republic of Korea and one each in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation and Croatia. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 186 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 4 in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo, one in Greece and one in Iran, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.

Below we present the situation regarding the infection with the SARS – CoV – 2 virus at European and global level:

Between 26  february and 4 march 2021, 22.527.370 cases were reported in the EU / EEA. Most cases have been reported in France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

As of 15 December, the CEPCB has stopped publishing data on the number of confirmed cases and the number of deceased citizens, both in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra and globally. These reports are updated weekly.

Data published by Johns Hopkins CSSE, targeting the number of healed citizens, continues to be updated daily.
