To date, on November 20th, 1,760,765 cases of infection with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been registered in Romania, of which 10,019 are from reinfected patients, tested positive for more than 180 days after the first one. infection.

1,632,145 patients were declared cured.

In the last 24 hours, 2,697 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, of which 45 are from reinfected patients, tested positive for more than 180 days after the first infection. .

*Regarding the “new cases not allocated by counties”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes brought to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralised. Thus, according to the new methodology, the testing centers directly introduce the results of the tests performed, and the epidemiological investigation will be performed at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases will be assigned to the county / locality to which the infected persons belong.

 ** Regarding the cases from abroad, these are cases of some citizens who came to Romania being infected in other countries. These cases were included in the total number of new cases not allocated by counties.

The coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the level of Bucharest Municipality and counties. Below you have the graph based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 539 people were reconfirmed positively. The distribution by county of these cases can be found in the table below:

To date, 54,838 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 19.11.2021 (10:00) – 20.11.2021 (10:00) were reported by INSP 214 deaths (105 men and 109 women), of which 43 prior to the reference interval, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus , hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Brăila, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara , Ialomița, Iași, Ilfov, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vâlcea and Bucharest.

Of the 214 deaths, 3 were registered in the age category 30-39 years, 9 in the age category 40-49 years, 22 in the age category 50-59 years, 53 in the age category 60-69 years, 58 in age group 70-79 years and 69 in the age category over 80 years.

202 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 10 deceased patients did not register comorbidities, and for 2 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

43 deaths were reported prior to the reference interval, occurring in the counties of Bacău, Brașov, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Galați, Giurgiu, Harghita, Iași, Prahova, Tulcea, Timiș, Vaslui and Bucharest, 31 in October 2021 and 12 in November 2021 171 deaths were reported in the reference period.

 Out of a total of 214 patients who died, 189 were unvaccinated and 25 were vaccinated. The 25 vaccinated deceased patients were aged between 30-39 and over 80 years. All vaccinated deceased patients had comorbidities.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 11,123. Of these, 1,591 are hospitalized at Intensive Care Units. Of the 1,591 patients admitted to ATI, 148 have a certificate attesting to vaccination.

Out of the total number of hospitalized patients, 157 are minors, 141 being hospitalized in wards and 16 at in Intensive Care Units.

To date, 10,614,129 RT-PCR tests and 5,073,923 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 13,236 RT-PCR tests were performed (6,491 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 6,745 on request) and 27,591 rapid antigen tests.

In Romania, 62,441 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 11,469 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 57,196 people are in quarantine at home, and 50 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2,183 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 313 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens. 2183 313

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 19, 2,471 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 524,970 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 3 criminal files were drawn up yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalised, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 23,802 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,553 in Italy, 16,947 in Spain, 199 in the United Kingdom, 132 in France, 3,125 in Germany, 97 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 11 in the USA, 8 in Sweden, 146 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 75 in Switzerland, 5 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 8 in Bulgaria, 28 in Cyprus, 4 in India, 5 in Ukraine, 9 in United Arab Emirates, 17 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 5 in Singapore, 5 in Tunisia, 12 in Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 in Serbia, 8 in Croatia, 6 in Portugal, 6 in Poland and one each in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, Russian Federation , Finland, Kuwait and Nigeria. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 197 Romanian citizens abroad, 38 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 5 in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Austria, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo, one in Greece, one in Iran one in Poland, one in Bulgaria, one in Nigeria and one in Turkey, they died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.

Between November 11th and November 18th, 43,350,381 cases were reported in the EU / EEA. Most cases have been reported in France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

As of 15 December, the CEPCB has stopped publishing data on the number of confirmed cases and the number of deceased citizens, both in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra and globally. These reports are updated weekly.
