Until today, on November 26th, in Romania, 449.349 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

323.514 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 9.005 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. Distribution by counties of the cases for the total and of the new ones or those found in the table below.

* Regarding the “new cases not allocated by counties”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes brought to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the testing centers directly introduce the results of the tests performed, and the epidemiological investigation will be performed at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases will be assigned to the county / locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the level of Bucharest Municipality and counties. Below you have the chart made based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 1.338 people were reconfirmed positively.

Until today, 10.712 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 25.11.2020 (10:00) – 26.11.2020 (10:00) were reported 171 deaths (105 men and 66 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași,  Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 5 deaths were recorded in the age category 40-49 years, 22 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 34 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 57 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 53 deaths in the category over 80 years.

163 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented with comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not present with comorbidities, and for 4 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13.248. Of these, 1.226 are hospitalized at ATI.

Until today, 4.011.887 tests have been processed at the national level. Of these, 36.271 were performed in the last 24 hours, 22.829 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 13.442 on request.

Also, since the last SCG Information, have been reported the results of 620 tests processed before the last 24 hours and submitted until 26th of November.

On the Romanian territory, 48.458 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 12,376 people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 70.873 people are in quarantine at home, and 58 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 5.095 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 716 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 25 a.c., 6,652 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 1.090.675 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 4 crimes were found yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,875 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,935 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus , 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in United Arab Emirates, 11 in Republic of Moldova  and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican , Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Note: these data are obtained by the Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, either from the competent authorities of the states of residence, insofar as these data are subject to public communication, or directly from Romanian citizens abroad.

The TELVERDE number is not an emergency number, it is a telephone line strictly assigned for informing citizens and is valid for national calls, from Monday to Friday, between 08.00 and 20.00. Also, Romanians abroad can request information about preventing and combating the virus at the line specially dedicated to them, +4021.320.20.20.

As of 25rd of November 2020, 12.359.852  cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany.
