To date, on 9th of November, in Romania, 306.991 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

206.793 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 3.240 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the “new cases not allocated by counties”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes brought to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the testing centers directly introduce the results of the tests performed, and the epidemiological investigation will be performed at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases will be assigned to the county / locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the level of Bucharest Municipality and counties is the following:

 

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 991 people were reconfirmed positively. The distribution by county of these cases can be found in the table below:

Until today 8.009 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 08.11.2020 (10:00) – 09.11.2020 (10:00),  130 deaths (72 men and 58 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț,  Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș,  Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death were recorded in the age category 0-9 years, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 6 deaths was recorded in the age category 40-49 years, 24 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 26 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 45 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 26 deaths in the over 80 years category.

127 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 3 deceased patients had no comorbidities.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12.688. Of these, 1.076  are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units.

To date, 3.488.090  tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 11.445  were performed in the last 24 hours, 7.286   based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 4.159  upon request.

In Romania, 41.024 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 24.762  people are in institutional isolation. Also, 72.980 people are in quarantine at home, and 19 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours 2.738 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 8.487 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 1.455.795 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, were found, yesterday, 2 crimes to thwart the fight against diseases, crime provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,862 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom , 36 in Hungary, 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

As of 8th  of November  2020, 9 063 320 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany.
