To date, on September 22nd, 1,165,886 cases of infection with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been registered in Romania, of which 252 are of reinfected patients, tested positive for more than 180 days after the first one. infection.

1,086,351 patients were declared cured.

In the last 24 hours, 7,045 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, of which 172 are from reinfected patients, tested positive for more than 180 days after the first infection. .

*Regarding the “new cases not allocated by counties”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes brought to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the testing centers directly introduce the results of the tests performed, and the epidemiological investigation will be performed at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases will be assigned to the county / locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the level of Bucharest Municipality and counties. Below you have the graph based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 622 people were reconfirmed positively. The distribution by county of these cases can be found in the table below.

To date, 35,851 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

 

Between 21.09.2021 (10:00) – 22.09.2021 (10:00) were reported by INSP 130 deaths (55 men and 75 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Călărași, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Ilși Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vâlcea, Vrancea and Bucharest.

One of the deaths is of an infected patient abroad and reported by DSP Satu Mare.

 

Of the 130 deaths, 2 were registered in the age category 20-29 years, 1 in the age category 30-39 years, 2 in the age category 40-49 years, 10 in the age category 50-59 years, 24 in the age category 60-69 years, 48 ​​in the age category 70-79 years and 43 in the age category over 80 years.

 

126 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities, and for 3 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

 

No deaths were reported prior to the reference interval.

 

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 8,724. Of these, 1,037 are hospitalized at Intensive Care Unit.

Out of the total number of hospitalized patients, 236 are minors, 218 being hospitalized in wards and 18 in Intensive Care Unit.

To date, 9,442,018 RT-PCR tests and 2,951,859 antigenic rapid tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 23,219 RT-PCR tests were performed (11,002 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 12,217 on request) and 30,732 rapid antigen tests.

 

In Romania, 36,497 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 7,777 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 57,368 people are in quarantine at home, and 234 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

 

In the last 24 hours, 5,064 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 587 on the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.

 

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on September 21, 1,042 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 272,255 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 7 criminal cases were drawn up yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 23,744 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,543 in Italy, 16,946 in Spain, 198 in Great Britain, 129 in France, 3,124 in Germany, 95 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 5 in the USA, 8 in Sweden, 143 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 75 in Switzerland, 4 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus , 8 in Bulgaria, 21 in Cyprus, 4 in India, 5 in Ukraine, 8 in United Arab Emirates, 14 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 5 in Singapore, 5 in Tunisia, 9 in Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 in Serbia, 3 in Croatia and one each in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation, Finland, Poland and Kuwait. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 194 Romanian citizens abroad, 37 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 5 in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Austria, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo, one in Greece, one in Iran, one in Poland and one in Bulgaria, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.

Between of  September 9nd – September 16th 2021, 37.521.784 cases were reported in the EU / EEA. Most cases have been reported in France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

As of 15 December, the CEPCB has stopped publishing data on the number of confirmed cases and the number of deceased citizens, both in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra and globally. These reports are updated weekly.
