Until today, on September 25th, on the territory of Romania, 119.683 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

96.158 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1.629  new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below:

Until today, 4.633 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 24.09.2020 (10:00) – 25.09.2020 (10:00) there were registered 42 deaths (25 men and 17 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in din Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Iași, Mehedinți, Prahova, Timiș, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Among these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 40-49 years, 5 deaths were recorded in the age category 50-59 years, 10 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 14 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 10 deaths in the over-80s category.

In 41 cases, the deaths presented comorbidities, in one case there was no comorbidity reported.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.245. Of these, 508 are hospitalized at Intensive care.

Until today, 2.328.322 tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 25.494 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15.879 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 9.615 on request.

In Romania, 9.352  people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 7.004 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 23.850 people are in quarantine at home, and in institutionalized quarantine there are 179 people.

In the last 24 hours, 1.145 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 561 calls at TELVERDE 0800 800 358, a telephone line strictly assigned to inform.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 467  sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 159.275 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 4 crimes were found yesterday, regarding the  thwart the fight against diseases, a crime provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,693 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain , 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 119  in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad died, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece,.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 428 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Note: these data are obtained by the Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, either from the competent authorities of the states of residence, insofar as these data are subject to public communication, or directly from Romanian citizens abroad.

As of  September 24th, 3 014 925 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in the Spain, France, United Kingdom, Italy and Germany.
