Until today, on September 4th , in Romania, 92.595 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed.

39.626 were declared cured and discharged and 11.868 asymptomatic patients were discharged at 10 days after detection.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1.339 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below:

At the same time, so far, 3.812 people diagnosed with COVID-19 died.

Between 03.09.2020 (10:00) – 04.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 47 deaths (27 men and 20 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Argeș, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Satu Mare, Suceava, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and  Bucharest.

Among these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 30-39 years, 1 death was recorded in the age group 40-49 years, 5 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 9 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 17 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 14 deaths in the age category over 80 years.

In 46 cases death occurred in patients who had comorbidities, one deceased patient had not presented comorbidities.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.396. Of these, 485 patients are hospitalized at intensive care units.

Until today, 1.901.240 tests have been processed at national level. Of these, 25.177 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14.781 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 10.396 on request.

In Romania, 9.519 people confirmed with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 6.054 people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 34.952 people are quarantined at home, and 71 persons are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1.009 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 524 to TELVERDE (0800 800 358).

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 611 sanctions, amounting 139.101 lei.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a special telephone line TELVERDE (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6.595 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,903 in Italy, 1253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2.935 in Germany, 158 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia , Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Sweden, Congo Republic Hungary and Qatar. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad died: 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, 1 in Brazil, one in Congo Republic and one in Greece.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Until 3rd of September, 2.278.310 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
