Until today, on September 6th, in Romania, 95,014 cases of people infected with the COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. 40,307 patients were declared cured and 12,228 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

 

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1,150 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below:

Until today, 3,893 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

 

Between 05.09.2020 (10:00) – 06.09.2020 (10:00) there were 43 deaths (24 men and 19 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș , Bacău, Bihor, Botoșani, Brăila, Buzău, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Iași, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Prahova, Timiș, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

 

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 40-49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 14 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 9 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 13 deaths in the over-80s category.

 

40 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, one deceased patient did not present comorbidities, and for two deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,287. Of these, 474 are hospitalized at ATI.

 

To date, 1,938,491 tests have been processed at the national level. Of these, 14,871 were performed in the last 24 hours, 9,021 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 5,850 on request.

 

In Romania, 9,675 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 5,922 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 35,130 people are in quarantine at home, and 45 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

 

In the last 24 hours, 866 calls were made to the unique emergency number 112.

 

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 984 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 378,900 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, a crime was found yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,599 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain , 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Until 5th of September 2020, 2,337,151 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
